I suppose most of you folks have a passport. I don't have a passport, and I have heard it takes a long time to get one. As of Jan. 31, Canadians and U.S. citizens must show proof of citizenship before entering America. In reading the recent article in the Missoulian I have to agree with Kris Proudfoot, We have known some of the border agents our whole life we are made to feel like we do not belong here. I understand the need for securty, but when I cross the border I do not feel welcome in the country I was born in. Canada makes me feel more welcome than the U.S. side and it has been this way for as far back as I can remember. Canada is losing quite a bit of American Dollars, not that our dollar is worth much anymore.
Who knows how long it will take me to get a passport, but I feel Canada loses quite a bit of free trade and tourist dollars because quite a few folks will Never get a passport. I don't really understand how a passport is more protection?

It is Sad when the Country we were born in and in the town we have lived our whole lives Our Own Border treats us like criminals until proven innocent when the Canadian side says, come on in, we welcome you.
